Thanks Charlie - I did in fact find the place. No one was there, but it was so sad to see that the barn had fallen down and the kitchen in disrepair.

The park you visited was South Tibwin. If you leave their parking lot and turn right (north on Highway17), you will find the entrance to Tibwin about 1/2 mile further on the right. Go slow as it is easy to miss. There is a small sign (or at least there used to be) right at the entrance road. Sadly the place is a shade of its former self. Amazingly the 1805 house was still standing the last time I visited, but the brick house and two clap-board houses are gone thanks to Hugo. I spent a lot of time there back in the late 70's when my Dad was a co-owner.

I live near Tibwin and I have not found it yet. I'm wondering if I am looking in the wrong place. I have been inside the Tibwin park - owned by the park service and did not find. There's also an old dark road across from Tibwin Road that has no trespassing sign posted on tree. It is on Hwy 17 on right somewhere but if you can kindly tell me how to get there I'd appreciate. Thanks so much.
