HMS Bounty Visits Charleston, SC - May 2012
On Wednesday afternoon, May 9th 2012, the HMS Bounty sailed into Charleston harbor after participating in the Savannah tall ships festival the previous weekend. The US Coast Guard rescued 14 crew members, but deckhand Claudene Christian died, and Captain Robin Walbridge was missing, presumed dead as a result of the disaster.
