Family Portraits at Kiawah : This family is spread over multiple states from California to South Carolina and it was the first time they had all together for 10 years so it was important to document the occasion. Here are a few of the images.

Lisa and Sam : There's always the potential for unpredictability and challenges when photographing kids and animals. Sam arrived for his photo shoot freshly shampooed and full of beans. So full of beans that Lisa decided it would be a good idea to let him off the leash and burn off some energy. That was when the plan began to unravel. Suffice it to say that Sam had the time of his life chasing other dogs through the pluff mud, plunging into the water after balls, and trying to catch egrets and herons. He didn't look quite as groomed for his photos as Lisa had planned, but we had a lot of fun.

Paul, Nicole , Brennan & Pauline : I always count it a privilege to photograph families - it's about capturing relationship in a visual form, and my goal and prayer is that I am able to communicate that accurately, and in a way that does justice to the people involved. Thanks Paul and Nicole for inviting me in... again. :)

The Miller Family : The Millers wanted some portraits taken of their "immediate family", so we accomplished that this weekend. The children were very cooperative - always makes a shoot unpredictable to have kids in the mix. I don't think I have a lens that would cope with their "extended family".

Paul and Laura at Folly : Laura and Paul are expecting their first baby very soon so we took some photographs of just the two of them enjoying Folly Beach for what might be the last time before they are three.

Jake, Erin and Hayden : These family photos were taken at Folly Beach last weekend. Erin wanted casual shots of them having fun together and just being a family.

The Barrett Family Beach Portraits : Last Sunday it was HOT - even for Charleston, and we had scheduled a family photo shoot at Folly Beach. Nevertheless everyone did really well and the kids were very patient, even though they just wanted to get wet. Here are the photos.
